STYLES OF HEARING AIDS
RECEIVER-IN-THE-EAR (RITE)
This foresight of removing the receiver from inside the hearing aid case and feeding it down into the canal of the ear, opened up all kinds of options for this style of behind the ear hearing aids. Manufacturers now had the ability to make the aids much more discreet and still allow for all the options of their much larger cousins. It has become the most popular option on the market.

COMPLETELY IN THE CANAL (CIC)
CIC’s are one of the smallest forms of hearing aids. They fit inside the ear canal making them difficult to notice. CIC style hearing aids are most effective when treating mild-to-moderate hearing loss.

IN THE CANAL (ITC)
ITC hearing aids are small in size and custom fit to your ear. They fit inside the ear canal with only a small portion of the hearing aid showing in the outer ear. ITC style hearing aids are most effective when treating mild-to-moderate hearing loss.

IN THE EAR (ITE)
ITE hearing aids are custom made in two styles — one that fills most of the bowl-shaped area of your outer ear (full shell) and one that fills only the lower part (half shell). Their larger size allows for easy insertion and removal as well as easy access to the battery compartment. ITE style hearing aids are most effective when treating mild-to-profound hearing loss.
